Which Nip+Fab ranges can and cannot be mixed?Updated 2 months ago

This guidance applies only to Nip+Fab leave-on products (such as serums, concentrates, creams, oils and pads). It does not apply to cleansers, which are wash-off formulas.

You can mix and match Nip+Fab ranges to build a routine based on your skin goals. To achieve the best results, it’s important to understand how our leave-on active ranges are designed to be used.

Safe to mix

These ranges can be layered together and used alongside all other Nip+Fab products:

  • Hyaluronic Fix
  • Ceramide Fix
  • Peptide Fix

These formulas focus on hydration and barrier support, making them suitable to use alongside active treatments.

Best used separately

The following Nip+Fab ranges are best not layered together in the same application:

  • Retinol Fix
  • Glycolic Fix
  • Salicylic Fix
  • Vitamin C Fix

These ranges contain high-performance actives. Layering more than one in the same routine can increase the likelihood of irritation, so we recommend alternating them on different days or separating them between morning and evening routines. This guidance applies to leave-on products only and does not apply to cleansers.

These active ranges can instead be layered with products from the Hyaluronic Fix, Ceramide Fix or Peptide Fix ranges.

For example, an evening routine might include cleansing, followed by hydration with a Hyaluronic Fix concentrate, treatment with a Retinol Fix serum, moisturising with a Ceramide Fix cream, and finishing with a Peptide Fix oil.

Using Nip+Fab alongside other formulas

When using Nip+Fab products alongside skincare from other brands, formulation strength, pH level and delivery systems can differ. As a result, layering guidance that applies within Nip+Fab ranges may not always apply when combining with other formulas.

As an example, peptides are generally compatible with most ingredients, but they can be less effective when applied directly alongside very strong acids, such as high-strength AHAs, BHAs, or traditional low-pH vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Peptides perform best in a slightly higher pH environment, while strong acids sit at a much lower pH, which can impact performance.

When using the Peptide Fix Finishing Oil 2% alongside potent actives such as tretinoin, retinal, or traditional vitamin C (ascorbic acid), applying those products first and allowing them to fully absorb (around 15–20 minutes) helps both products work effectively without interfering with one another.

This waiting time is not required when using Nip+Fab formulas together, as our products are developed using encapsulated actives and stable ingredient derivatives designed to work effectively with more delicate ingredients such as peptides.
